Change, recovery and practical support

I’m Nathan Chilton: a chiropractor, a student of the nervous system and a father. My work is about helping people better understand the relationship between stress, physical wellbeing and how they feel in their bodies—and giving them practical support to move forward.

For 14 years, I’ve worked one-to-one with people dealing with pain, stress and the physical effects of modern life. I look beyond the joint or muscle to consider the patterns that may be affecting how someone feels and functions.

From pressure to a clear next step

Most people who feel stuck are not short of information. They often need a clear place to begin.

Under pressure, it is easy to become reactive, disconnected from what the body is telling us, or unsure what to do next. My role is not to give people more to think about. It is to help them pause, understand what may be contributing to how they feel, and take a practical first step.

Whether I’m supporting an individual or working with an organisation, that is the question underneath my work: how do we help people move from knowing they need to change to actually beginning?

Experience that shapes the work

My understanding of recovery is personal, too. Over the past decade, I’ve lived through a rare bone condition, multiple major surgeries and a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. I had to rebuild my own health, movement and capacity from the ground up.

I now compete in ultra-distance hiking events. That experience does not replace clinical knowledge, but it has shaped how I work: with empathy, honesty and respect for the fact that lasting change is rarely quick or linear.

I hold a Master of Chiropractic (MChiro) from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic and an honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Before moving into healthcare, I played basketball in the National League.

I graduated as a chiropractor in 2012 and ran my own clinical practice from 2019 to 2022. Across my career, I’ve worked with thousands of people experiencing pain and dysfunction, helping them move beyond symptom management and return to the activities that matter to them.

I am also certified in HeartMath techniques, which may form part of my wider approach to supporting stress awareness, recovery and wellbeing.

Work with organisations

I am now bringing this individual, practical approach into workplaces through my Corporate Wellness Programme: a structured model of one-to-one employee support, regular workplace sessions and planned review points.

It is a new workplace model, built on 14 years of one-to-one clinical practice and adapted for organisations that want a more individual approach to employee wellbeing.

Speaking and workshops

I am also available for keynotes, workshops and breakout sessions, delivered in person or virtually. These sessions explore change, recovery, pressure and nervous-system regulation in a practical, human way.
