❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? You’re not alone. Here are some of the most common things parents ask before working with me.

Do you use 'cry it out' or other crying-based techniques?

No, I don’t use any form of ‘cry it out’ or sleep training methods that involve leaving a child alone to cry. My approach is gentle, responsive, and rooted in connection.

That said, it’s important to understand that some crying can still happen during the sleep process — especially when changes are being made. Crying is a form of communication, not something we aim to suppress. The key difference is that your child will never be left alone to cry. They will be comforted and supported throughout, with you right there to respond in a way that feels aligned with your values.

What is a sleep diary and why do I need to complete one?

The 3-day sleep diary helps me see what your baby’s sleep looks like in real life. It gives me valuable insight into patterns, challenges, and what might be contributing to sleep struggles. It’s the foundation for building a truly personalised plan.

What age babies do you work with?

I currently work with families of babies aged 0–18 months. If your child is slightly older and you're unsure if I can help, feel free to book a free discovery call and we’ll talk it through.

Do you look at things like feeding, naps, and bedtime routines too?

Yes — sleep is never just one thing. When we work together, I look at the whole picture: naps, feeding, bedtime, night wakes, and more. It’s all connected, and we’ll make sure your plan takes everything into account.

Can I message outside of working hours?

Absolutely — you can message anytime that works for you. Just know that I’ll respond during support hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm).

What if I’m not sure this is right for me?

That’s exactly why I offer a free 15-minute discovery call. There’s no pressure — just a chat to see if we’re the right fit. If I feel I’m not the best person to help, I’ll be honest and try to point you in the right direction.

What if something feels urgent?

If you’re unsure whether something can wait, feel free to message — I’ll respond as soon as possible during support hours. If you’re ever concerned about your child’s health or wellbeing, please contact your GP, 111, or emergency services as appropriate.

Are sessions online or in person?

Most of my sleep coaching is done online via video calls, which means I can support families anywhere in the UK (and beyond). If you're local to the Stockport / Cheshire area, I may offer limited in-person support — just ask.

When can I expect replies to my messages?

WhatsApp replies are usually sent within 24 hours, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Emails are typically answered within 48 hours. I don’t check messages on weekends or holidays to protect family and rest time — thank you for understanding.

What support is included in the plan?

That depends on the package you choose. Every family receives a bespoke sleep plan, but follow-up support can include messaging, calls, or in-person check-ins depending on what you need. We’ll talk through it together and make sure the support feels right for you.
